I’ve recently become a Visiting Professor at Canterbury Christ Church University. So yesterday I had the opportunity to go down and address their Masters students who are about to embark on a dissertation.
I ran a short session on designing a research project and also got to hear about some of the really interesting projects that last year’s students have been doing. These covered the careers of African refugees, providing career support for migrant children, career guidance in a therapeutic community and employer mentoring. All really interesting stuff and hopefully some of it will eventually find its way in to publication.
I talked a bit about my current project on Nordic education, employment and career and tried to use that as an example.
This is what I covered.
