Should decent work be an aim of career guidance?

Today I’m off to Manchester Metropolitan University to talk to the Centre for Decent Work and Productivity. I’ve been thinking about ‘decent work’ quite a bit recently and I feel that it has some potential to be a useful concept for the career guidance and social justice work that I’ve been involved in. But, I also have some concerns about its normative nature that I’m going to reflect on this afternoon.
