
I’ve just run a webinar for the Career Development Association of Australia focusing on the role of employers in career development. This has obviously been a very big part of recent policy and practice in the UK, but not so much in other countries.
Hopefully it was useful to my colleagues in Australia to hear about this. If they are interested in finding out more they might want to visit the Careers & Enterprise Company which is the main delivery agency for youth career development in England and which has emphasised this agenda very strongly. They might also be interested to look at the work of Education & Employers which has done a lot of the foundational research in this space.
Of course I’d also love everyone to buy The Careers Leader Handbook which is a very practical guide to these issues focus on schools and colleges.
