
I recently posted a course of videos looking at various aspects of career theory. These films all look at various ways in which theorists have tried to understand career and think about what might be possible in careers work. However, all of these theories, like career and career guidance, take place within a context. Thinking about and understanding this context is critical to our thinking about career.
This is the first of a series of lectures looking at context. In this one I set out the areas that I’m going to cover and think about what ‘context’ really means.
