A few weeks ago I shared a self-study course on career theory. People seemed to enjoy this so I’ve decided to put together some more of my material into a self-study course on the context of career.
If you’ve heard me speak or read anything I’ve written, you will probably have picked up the idea that I think that context is really important in both career and career guidance. But what do we mean by this term ‘context’ and what are some of the most important aspects of the contemporary context?
In this self-study course I try and answer this.
- The context for career (an overview)
- What is the labour market?
- Critically engaging with facts and data
- Neoliberalism
- Digitalisation
- Automation
- Migration
- Environmental change
- Reflecting on the course
I hope that you enjoy the course and find some of this material interesting. If you enjoyed it then please subscribe to my YouTube channel.
