The great debate: Careers education and guidance in the time of Covid

Tuesday 2 March at 12.30 – 2.00pm

On Tuesday 2nd March I’m chairing a cross-party debate on the future of career guidance after the release of the government’s white paper. In it we will try and assess the opportunities offered by the white paper and consider where we might go next. Given the current crisis, there is a need to move forward quickly with the white paper’s proposals and build on them with an emergency plan to invest in career guidance.

The debate is organised by The Career Development Policy Group (a campaign group made up of the CDI, Careers England, CRAC, iCeGS and AGCAS).

The meeting will be online, free to attend and will feature a number of parliamentarians including:

  • Toby Perkins, Labour MP for Chesterfield and Shadow Minister (Education)
  • Lord Storey, CBE, Liberal Democrat Life, Lords Spokesman (Education)

Find out more and book your place on the CDI website.
