Moving beyond Gatsby

Last week I had the opportunity to keynote the Complete Careers conference. In it I talked about Gatsby and the need for us to understand the limitations of that framework as well as its strengths. I remain a strong supporter of the Gatsby Benchmarks and would like to see them implemented across England. But, it is also important to think about what else is needed. The new CDI framework is another important part of the picture, but we also need to think more systemically and consider issues of policy and resourcing as well as practice-based frameworks.
