Today I’m running a discussion/presentation to ECADOC at Edinburgh Napier University on human capital theory in careers research and practice.
My presentation draws on the chapter that I wrote for the Oxford Handbook of Career Development. That chapter was entitled Career development and human capital theory: Preaching the “education gospel” and it is already available online.
In the presentation I’ve presented most of the main points from the article, but also presented some dilemmas for people to think about.
