At the University of Derby we are holding a half-day mini-conference to launch our new Institute of Education.
The Institute is the hub for educational research at the University of Derby. The Institute conducts educational research and provides consultancy to schools, education providers, the wider education sector, and Government.
The Institute is home to researchers from the College of Education, educational researchers from across the University of Derby, and associate researchers from a range of schools and organisations. Its core areas of focus include: career education and guidance; educational leadership and management; higher education; mathematics education; and special needs education.
The launch event will include keynotes and seminars from some of the University’s leading educational researchers. The event will culminate with the inaugural lecture of Professor Brian Lamb who will talk about “The Real World of Policy Change in Education- Reflections on the Special Educational Needs and Disability Reforms.”
The event is free and open to all members of the University and the general public. The event will take place at the University of Derby, Kedleston Road Campus.
